Introduction
Australian studies is on the begining stage  in the domestic research. It's important for International Relations studies in several points. First, Australian diplomacy is the representative of middle power diplomacy, which focus economic and commercial diplomacy and multilateralism. It's worth keeping an eye on some significance in the post-cold war. Trade and economy are no longer low politics as they were in the cold war, and they become more and more important to international relations. Furthermore, more and more contries emphasize  multilateralism, and they expect to build international regimes and mechanism to manager and solve the international political economy problems.
The foreign policies of middle power are regarded as important, especially economic and commercial diplomacy  and multilateralism. Moreover, as natural resources are gradually consumed, Australia could be  our supplier of materials. In additon, the relation with Australia is meaningful for our expanding economic relations and diplomacy. Finally, the economy of Taiwan and Australia is complementary, rapid growing of mutual economic relations make Australia significant for Taiwan.
